There are a record number of bill drafts submitted and for those who are familiar with the process, things can move quickly which can be difficult to track. Hundreds, maybe more bills will make their journey through committee hearings, floor sessions, amendments, debates, multiple votes, then again in the opposite chamber before reaching the Governor's desk to become law, or not with a veto.
Fortunately, Montana's citizen legislature provides incredible public access to participate in the process through outreach to lawmakers and public comment and testimony during committee hearings.
